Trummelbach Falls Guide
Europe's Largest Underground Waterfalls: A Natural Spectacle Guide
Prepare to be amazed by the Trummelbach Falls, a series of ten glacier-fed waterfalls inside a mountain, made accessible by a tunnel-lift, galleries, paths, and platforms. These powerful waterfalls carry the meltwater of the Jungfrau glaciers down into the valley, carving their way through the rock with incredible force. Witness the raw power of nature as you explore this unique and awe-inspiring natural wonder. The Trummelbach Falls have been shaped over thousands of years by the relentless flow of glacial meltwater. The falls drain the enormous glacial regions of the Jungfrau, Eiger, and Mönch mountains, carrying over 20,000 liters of water per second at peak flow. The sheer volume and force of the water have sculpted the rock into a series of dramatic cascades, creating a truly unforgettable spectacle. The falls are a testament to the power of nature and the dynamic processes that shape our planet. Visitors can experience the Trummelbach Falls through a network of tunnels, platforms, and a unique tunnel-lift built inside the mountain. Ascend through the mountain and witness the falls from various vantage points, each offering a different perspective on the power and beauty of the water. The thundering roar of the water and the cool mist in the air create a sensory experience unlike any other. The falls are a popular destination for nature lovers, photographers, and anyone seeking an unforgettable adventure.
